Safety & Sanitation Guidelines

The following guidelines are mandatory and must be followed at all times by clients while on board the Gloss Beauty Truck.

These guidelines are effective May 17, 2020 and may change at any time.

  1. When you arrive for your appointment, you must remain in your vehicle/outside until you are called/sent a text or notified by a staff member that it is time for your scheduled appointment.
  2. Appointments must be pre-booked. No walk-in appointments will be accepted at this time to maintain safety, sanitation and physical distancing guidelines.
  3. You will be asked to leave your belongings (jacket, bags, etc) in your vehicle.
  4. All clients must wash hands upon boarding the Gloss Beauty Truck for 20 seconds using soap and water.
    • Use of alcohol based hand sanitizer is an acceptable secondary method for cleaning hands.
  5. To maintain physical distancing, maximum occupancy for:
    1. Single service appointments:
      • 1 staff member and 1 client. Exception will be made for:
        • Clients under 16 years of age who may have ONE parent/guardian with them.
        • Persons with mobility issues who require assistance are able to have ONE support person.
    2. Children’s Party (Princess Party) - Currently there are no Princess Parties to be booked on the truck due to physical distancing guidelines.
    3. Adult Party* appointments: 1 staff member and 4 clients.
      • Parties may only consist of a maximum of 4 people all from the same household.
  6. All clients, parent/guardians and support persons are required to wear a face mask for the entire length of their appointment.
    1. If you do not have a mask, you can purchase one for $2.
    2. If clients refuse to wear a mask, services will not be performed and client will be asked to leave.
    3. It is at the discretion of the parent/guardian whether or not a child under the age of 16 years is required to wear a mask while on the truck.
  7. If you are sick with any symptoms of COVID-19, influenza or common cold, you must rebook your appointment.
  8. You will be required to fill out/answer a pre-screening questionnaire prior to your appointment start time.
  9. If you have travelled you must stay home for 14 days and self-isolate, and not have an appointment in accordance with the Government of Canada Quarantine Act.
  10. There will be no open food allowed on the truck. You may bring a beverage with you in a sealed drink container or container with a screw-top lid that has a straw so that you will not need to remove your mask.
  11. Contactless payment (debit, credit, etransfer) is preferred at this time.
